The Martha Graham Dance Company opened their season at The Joyce Theater on Tuesday evening with Program A. Dance enthusiasts and many more now have the opportunity to experience the Company performances that present Graham’s treasured classics along with stunning new choreographies. 

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company returns to The Joyce Theater with three exciting programs April 18–30, 2023. The season features world premieres by Baye & Asa and Annie Rigney, Hofesh Shechter's high-energy CAVE, and the mesmerizing Canticle for Innocent Comedians, a multi-choreographer work directed by Sonya Tayeh featuring an original score by jazz great Jason Moran.

Martha Graham Dance Company is now on stage as part of the City Center Dance Festival. We attended the production of their Program A that will also be presented on Saturday evening, April 9th.

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company returns to New York City Center April 6, 7, 9, and 10 as part of the inaugural City Center Dance Festival.

The season features works by acclaimed choreographers Andrea Miller, Pam Tanowitz, Elisa Monte, and Sir Robert Cohan and Graham classics Appalachian Spring, Steps in the Street, Diversion of Angels, and the newly recovered solo Immediate Tragedy.

Taking place on Saturday, October 9, and Saturday, October 16, 2021, and consisting of a series of six site-specific dance performances, Herstory of the Universe will lead visitors on a journey across the iconic public space—from the ancient trees of Nolan Park to the secluded lawns of Hammock Grove and the dramatic topography of the Hills.  

GrahamFest95 also includes a collaboration with international art gallery Hauser & Wirth, which pairs works by Graham and Robert Cohan with four acclaimed visual artists–-Rita Ackermann, Mary Heilmann, Luchita Hurtado, and Rashid Johnson.

The Martha Graham Dance Company’s will present the premiere of Elisa Monte’s signature work, Treading (1979), four solos by Sir Robert Cohan, Lamentation Variations by Kyle Abraham, Richard Move, and Nicolas Paul, and the duet from Troy Schumacher’s The Auditions, created for the Company in 2019. 

Ballet Hispánico, the nation's leading Latino dance organization since 1970 and recognized this year as one of America's Cultural Treasures, will perform in New York City Center's digital Fall for Dance Festival, live from the stage, premiering on October 21, 2020 at 7:30pm as part of Program 1.

New York City Center has announced their 17th Fall for Dance Festival, their first-ever digital dance celebration! Alicia Graf Mack and David Hallberg will be hosting two programs showcasing the resiliency of extraordinary New York City artists coming together-as we take the first crucial steps to returning to our stage.

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company presents the second season of The EVE Projecta?"a program celebrating female empowerment and the centennial of the 19th Amendment this year. The New York City Center season features acclaimed classics from Graham's repertory alongside works by some of today's top choreographers, including a world premiere by Andrea Miller and recent commissions from Pam Tanowitz and Maxine Doyle and Bobbi Jene Smith. Prima ballerina Diana Vishneva will be a guest star at the gala evening dancing Graham's Deep Song. Music for all of the Graham classics will be played live by The Mannes Orchestra. Performances are Wednesday, April 22 at 7pm (Opening Night Gala), Thursdaya?"Friday, April 23a?"24 at 8pm, Saturday, April 25 at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday, April 26 at 2pm.

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company returns to The Joyce Theater April 2–14, 2019 with The EVE Project, the Company's season theme celebrating female empowerment and the upcoming 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. The season focuses on both historical and contemporary ideas of the feminine. Commissioned works from five of today's top choreographers will be presented, and the classic repertory features Martha Graham's heroines and anti-heroines—all with an underlying statement about female power.

At the elegant Soroya Theatre in Northridge, CA, Martha Graham's Dance Company, under Artistic Director Janet Eilber's seasoned guidance, performed a most incredible group of works.  Some were originally created approximately 80 years ago, by Martha Graham, a true icon in the Dance world.  The EVE Project, as this evening, March 2nd, 2019 was entitled, gave us a wide variety of themes within a theme, that being Women and their significance, their power, their passion and their strength.  It was polished to perfection, and each piece carried many meanings and concepts and was just so beautifully performed and articulated. The Martha Graham Dance Company is the oldest contemporary dance company in the United States, founded in 1926.  Since it's inception it has explored and encompassed political and humanitarian issues, as well as affairs of the heart and human interactions, while creating a prolific dance technique that is unequaled in it's scope.  Graham created a total of 181 ballets during her long career, and is recognized as a primal artistic force of the 20th century, being named in 1998 as 'Dancer of the Century' in Time magazine, and labeled one of the female 'Icons of the Century' by People Magazine.

The fourth annual 'American Dance Platform' is now on stage at The Joyce from January 3-7 2019. The performances feature six of our nation's captivating companies in three inspired, shared programs.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Lamentation Variations project- LamVar10: A Festival for New Work. Since its founding in 2007 by Graham Company Artistic Director Janet Eilber, the company has commissioned some of today's most noteworthy choreographers to create new works inspired by Graham's signature solo, Lamentation, originally created in 1930, on dancers of the company. These choreographers have included Lar Lubovitch, Michelle Dorrance, and Doug Varone, among others.
