It’s hot, it’s sticky, the days are long, you're in the middle of nowhere, and are smarter and more talented than all the people you're stuck here with.
This August, Firebird Players invites you to join them in Park Slope for our outdoor production of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull. Set in the Hamptons in the late 1960s, this world premiere adaptation by Firebird literary director Zoe Senese-Grossberg interrogates the play's conception of power and gender by the actors playing Konstantin and Nina switching roles between acts 2 and 3. The second production of Firebird's inaugural season, following RUR, this show asks the questions: who is allowed to make art, and is it ever any good?
