A group of 11-year olds, on the cusp of turning 12, discover their friend July has died. Did they like July? It seems the answer is no. July was also apparently gay. How did he die? The boy friend group and the girl friend group chill separately, usually at McDonald's (it's Summer.) Then the two groups meet in the back of a moving U-Haul.
