LARK - Mary Cecilia Walker

Born and raised on the island of Barbados, Mary Cecilia has always loved telling stories. With experience in roles ranging from Shakespeare to Nottage, she is a versatile performer with a passion for uplifting unheard voices and underrepresented communities. A recent graduate from NYUs Tisch School of the Arts, Mary C is thrilled to be returning to the Chain for their summer festival as her first post grad performance after working with them in the Fall of 2021 directing the original work If and When You Said Goodbye.

Elisa has had the privilege of working with amazing companies such as: New York Theater Festival, The Samuel French Play Festival, Theater for the New City, Little and Fierce Theater Festival, The Gateway Playhouse, and Stonestreet Studios. Off/Off-Off Broadway: Hanoi Jane Piss Target, Sex Shoplifting and Rock n Roll, My Love Was Stolen by a Con Man. Regional: The Bodyguard The Musical, The Wizard of Oz. Writer - Leah Annia Plante-Wiener

Originally from Montreal and based in New York, Leah Annia Plante-Wiener (she/her) has just graduated from New York Universitys Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in dramatic writing. Leahs work has been produced through the Road Theatre, the Broke People Play Festival, and New York Summerfest, as well as shortlisted for the Epiphanies New Works Festival. She is obsessed with the art of mythmaking and story-weaving, the body and its shadowy realms, the dreamlike and the grotesque, and obsession itself. Lots and lots and lots of love to the Bonefruit family; the depth of her gratitude for them knows no end. A special thank you to Isa for understanding the dystopian desert of her writer brain a little too well. You can find Leah on Instagram at @leah.annia.

Director - Isabella Nicdao

Isabella Nicdao is a director, actor, and producer based in NYC. She is currently a junior at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts studying Drama and Producing. Isabella is overjoyed to be returning to The Chain and making her directorial debut with Bonefruit. Past work includes assistant direction on If and When You Said Goodbye (Broke People Play Festival, Chain Theater). Having moved nearly 20 times, she hails from no particular hometown but is grateful to have found a home and chosen family in the city. With all her work, Isabella seeks to tell universal stories through a culturally representative and diverse lens, especially through embracing underrepresented stories and storytellers. She offers her love and thanks to Leah, Mary, Elisa, and Jonathan for helping turn this weathered chapel into a weathered home. May the Beast protect you always.
