Punk rock bad ass Kylie Vincent straight off her 8 month long United States tour and one month run in Scotland for The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.BIRD, written and performed by 22 year old Kylie Vincent is equal parts stand-up, memoir, and fever dream and is about a Gen Z trainwreck soaring beyond her childhood trauma. This solo comedy show explores the challenges of being a young female-identifying stand up, while her past trauma continues to peck its way into the present. This hour-long show just made its UK premiere at Gilded Balloon, receiving four star reviews from major publications and reviewers saying, Kylie Vincent is someone to watch and the world will be hearing more from her in years to come.This intimate hybrid form, weaves confessional storytelling, stand-up comedy and social commentary, delivering laughs even as the content deepens. Vincent has made a name for herself in cities across the United States and is now preparing for her debut run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Stylistically, Bird has been compared to Moses Storms Trash White, Hannah Gatsbys Nanette or Jerrod Carmichaels Rothaniel.BIRD s director, Barbara Pitts McAdams, assistant directed the Fringe First winning, UK Premiere of The Laramie Project, Tectonic Theaters play and HBO Film about the murder of gay Wyoming college student Matthew Shepard. Kylie tours with her disabled dog and wants you to know she was broken when she got her.BARBARA PITTS McADAMS (Director/Producer) is an Emmy nominated, original cast member and co-creator of Tectonics The Laramie Project (as Barbara Pitts). She is also co-author of MOMENT WORK: Tectonic Theater Projects Process of Devising Theater. Barb has created many devised plays, often with social justice themes. With her own company Pitts McAdams Devising Works (PMDW), she develops and produces work that fosters social change.
