Ottawa has evolved to become one of Norway's most interesting cities--both because of its population composition, its growth and its location. BRIDGES is a journey of discovery in the town's history and its present, with a feminine twist. One of the most important women, pioneer Betzy kjelsberg, a natural stopping place. We move on to some women who sit in an early evening hair salon in Visakhapatnam, and then at the end she is right now drives her children to choir practice in Bragernes Church. What she thinks? What will she do?
What are these women's connection to each other, the city's history and to the Greek heroine Antigone from the ancient Greece? What shaped and shapes our lives? What choices do we have? What kind of freedom we will have? What are we willing to die for?
With the 100th anniversary of female suffrage as one of a number of blankets, Brageteatret provides a portrait of Drammen theatre show with the bridges of Drammens theatre. The show is written for six actors, Orchestra and choir.
The bridges are Brageteatrets hovedsatsning under Bragedager-100 years after 2013.
The screenplay is by Liv Heløe, Fredrik Hannestad, Euripides, etc.
