BroadwayWorld is checking in with theaters around the country as they prepare to reopen this summer. We're kicking off the series by checking in with American Shakespeare Center's Director of Communications Kelly M. Burdick.
American Shakespeare Center will reopen in May 2021 with a repertory season of three Shakespeare classics. With programming selected, cast and directed by a cohort of actor managers, ASC's new season will embrace early modern tradition and its own audience-beloved practice of presenting actor-directed 'Actors' Renaissance' selections each year.
American Shakespeare Center is at Blackfriars Playhouse 10 S. Market Street, Staunton, Virginia.
Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Virginia’s premiere classical theatre is at once intimate in scale and epic in imagination—creating vital, sophisticated, and accessible seasons built around a company of versatile actors performing in repertory all year round. We are a center for shared discovery by audiences, scholars, and artists of Shakespeare, his contemporaries, and classics old and new.
