Valentina Kozlova is proud to announce a ground-breaking TRAINEE PROGRAM, consisting of:
1. Special technique classes under Ms. Kozlova's supervision
2. Classes in repertoire
3. The option of private lessons with Ms. Kozlova for Competitions and Galas
4. Unlimited classes at the Kozlova Conservatory in Norwalk, Ct.
5. Performing opportunities.
Valentina Kozlova is launching this new Trainee Program to help dancers transition from the classroom and to increase their chances to audition successfully, to medal in competitions, and to achieve their goal of dancing professionally.
Valentina Kozlova, a native of Russia, trained at the Bolshoi Ballet School and was a principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet. While on tour with the company in Los Angeles in 1979, Kozlova defected and, after starring on Broadway in On Your Toes, was invited by George Balanchine to join New York City Ballet as a principal dancer. Kozlova danced with NYCB for 13 years; then founded her own ballet company and school. She has since became a major teacher and coach at home and at Competitions around the world. Her work earned her recognition by the Andrew Carnegie Foundation as a 2018 Great Immigrant/Great American for her dedication to dance. This honor was awarded to 38 distinguished immigrants. whose pictures appeared in a full page announcement in The New York Times on July 4, 2018.
