THE LAST ONE OUT OF CHRISTMASTOWN - NextStage

THE LAST ONE OUT OF CHRISTMASTOWN

PLAY SYNOPSIS:

If the entire economy of your town is based off of a super extra outdoor Holiday Festival that exists between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, then you are from Christmastown, Ohio. Each year, the senior class of Christmastown Senior High is tasked with producing the state-famous Christmas Eve Concert. In 2012, an unlikely group of detention-bound students work together to create the most bizarre event the town has ever seen.

AUDITION CALL:

NextStage is currently seeking actors 18 and under for a virtual version of The Last One Out Of Christmastown, a touching and slightly irreverent ode to the “let’s put on a show” plays of the past. Each year, the Senior Class of Christmastown Senior High is tasked with producing the state-famous Ohio Christmas Eve Concert. In 2012, an unlikely group of detention-bound students work together to create the most bizarre event the town has ever seen. Even though most characters are assigned a specific age, the play is written to be performed by teenage actors, 18 and under. While this event will be the third production of The Last One Out Of Christmastown, it will be the premiere of a very special virtual version of the show.

COMPENSATION

Actors will have two avenues of compensation for this production.

1. Base pay from ticket sales: Our actors split 50% of our gross ticket sales.

2. Our Actor Tip Jar: We set up a virtual tip jar through paypal that can be accessed before, during, and after our production. There is no minimum or maximum that actors can be paid in this fashion. This is an account we have set up so anyone can donate and the proceeds are divided evenly at the end of the production. We've had great success with this system from our past productions.
