Production Details

Title: The Drowsy Chaperone: A musical within a comedy

Synopsis:

In a loving send-up of the frivolously inconsequential stage musicals of the Jazz Age, a fan known only as Man in Chair gives a spin to the original cast recording of one such musical, providing the audience with amusing minutiae about the play and the players.

Calling all performers ages 18 and above to audition for this Summer’s Community Theatre Production, The Drowsy Chaperone!

Auditions will be on February 28th, 2024 at the Stand Performing Arts Studio from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM. Please be prepared to do a cold read, and bring a prepared 1 min of a song to audition with (preferably from a jazz age musical!). A choreography video will also be sent out to learn ahead of time, so be prepared dance-wise for the audition.

Rehearsals will be on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM beginning on March 6th, 2024.

Tech Rehearsals: 7/18/24 - 7/19/24

Shows: 7/20/24 - 7/21/24

Flat Fee: $100 (No Monthly Tuition)
