TWELFTH NIGHT - Southern Shakespeare

Directed by James Alexander Bond, Twelfth Night will be performed on the Capital City Amphitheater stage at Cascades Park May 7-10, 2020.

Emmy-nominated actor, writer, and comedian Kevin McDonald will guest star as Malvolio in this year’s Southern Shakespeare Free Shakespeare in the Park Production of Twelfth Night

SYNOPSIS
William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night is a hilarious tale of mismatched lovers and mistaken identities.
This comedy centers on Sebastian and Viola, a brother and sister shipwrecked off the coast of Illyria who are separated from each other. Viola must assume the identity of a man to earn a living in the home of Duke Orsino, who is in love with the Lady Olivia. The three of them form an unlikely love triangle — or square when you throw in the unsuspecting twin brother. Olivia’s uncle Toby tries to match Olivia to Sir Andrew, a wealthy drunken knight. Pranks are played and hilarity and confusion ensue until it all works out in the end.

SETTING of the PLAY
The fictional island country of Illyria circa 15c.
