TOSCA CHILDREN'S CHORUS - Lyric Opera of Kansas City
Tosca Children’s Chorus Auditions Announced
WHAT: Sixteen children, ages 3rd grade and up, to be selected for Children’s Chorus and the role of Shepherd Boy
Requirements: good voices, ability to sing in Italian with coaching, good acting and movement skills, excellent focus, reliability and promptness. Preference will go to those no taller than 5’.
WHEN: Auditions are Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 from 4:30 to 5:30pm
Audition Preparation Classes: (Attendance is optional, but encouraged.)
Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 4:30-5:30 (music and text review)
Thursday, Jan. 8 pra 4:30-5:30 (music and text review)
Tuesday, Jan. 13 4:30-5:30 (review + movement)
Thursday, Jan. 15 4:30-5:30 (mock audition)
Cast members must be available for all rehearsals. A full schedule will be available in January. Important production dates for Tosca are as follows:
1st possible music rehearsal for Chorus: Mar. 2, 2015
1st Principal Music Rehearsal for Shepherd Boy: Mar. 28, 2015
Staging rehearsals begin: Mar. 30, 2015
Tosca performance dates: Apr. 18, 22, 24, and 26, 2015
