BROADWAY PALM ANNOUNCES
LOCAL AUDITIONS!
Broadway Palm is holding open auditions for local adults and young adults for their upcoming summer production of The Wizard of Oz on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Ages 14 to 17 will audition at 10 a.m. Ages 18 and up will audition at 2 p.m. Auditions are on a first-come, first-served basis. A sign-up sheet will be available at 9 a.m. for ages 14 to 17 and at 1 p.m. for ages 18 and up. No appointments will be taken. This is a local audition for actors living in the Southwest Florida area. No housing will be offered for those hired from this audition.
Anyone interested in auditioning should bring a current headshot and resume. All auditioning need to be prepared to sing 16 bars that best show off your vocal range. Please bring sheet music in the proper key. An accompanist will be provided for all singing auditions; no recorded music is accepted. Songs should be in the musical genre of The Wizard of Oz. After the vocal audition, adults and children may be asked to attend a dance and/or reading audition. Please wear clothes you can move in and bring dance shoes (jazz shoes, sneakers or character heels.)
Broadway Palm is a professional theatre. Productions require a two-week rehearsal process with rehearsals daily. Anyone interested must be available for the two-week rehearsal process and all performances. Performances are Wednesday through Sunday evenings with selected matinees.
