I am so pleased to offer a Pulitzer Prize winning show featuring fabulous roles for an actor and an actress . . . of a certain age. THE GIN GAME is a two-person show in an age range where roles of substance are hard to find. The original cast members were Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn, so you will be in good company! ~ Joe Silva

ROLES;
WELLER MARTIN – Able to play 65 – 75
FONSIA DORSEY – Able to play 60 – 70

Characters will be aged down if needed and/or aged up if possible. So don’t be shy. Come on out and let’s see what happens.

SYNOPSIS
Weller – a former business man - is lonely in his seedy retirement home, spending his time playing solitaire. He meets Fonsia who has just moved in and they strike up an unlikely friendship. Whereas Weller is confident, unsentimental and profane, Fonsia is unsure, prim and proper. Unhappy in their circumstances they find solace in each other’s company and an ongoing game of Gin Rummy that has a surprising impact on them. As they play they reveal deeper secrets about their lives and these secrets become weapons to be used against each other. The game continuously strips away outer façade to reveal their true characters. The game of Gin Rummy becomes a metaphor for life. How you play determines how you end up.
