THE FAIR SEX - The Ridgefield Theater Barn

OPEN AUDITIONS FOR ORIGINAL PLAY READING: THE FAIR SEX

The Ridgefield Theater Barn will hold open auditions for the next in our series of Original Play Readings, The Fair Sex, Sunday, May 20th and Monday, May 21, at 7pm. The play, written and directed by Patti Azzara and produced by Marla Manning, will be presented Tuesday, July 31st.

It’s Denton, Montana, 2009 – where the cows outnumber the people, 3 to 1, green-bean casserole is the pot-luck meal of choice, and women who wear purple eye shadow are making more than just a fashion statement. Kate Mitchell, recently single, returns home from her life in Seattle to celebrate her parents’ 40th wedding anniversary with her siblings. Her homecoming does not go smoothly.

Casting 5 women and 5 men, 30s-50s age range. Actors will be asked to read sides from the script. Please be prepared to stay as you may be called back in to read multiple times or for multiple roles. As this is a reading, rehearsals will be limited and the director does not require complete memorization of the script.
