APPOINTMENTS

Audition slots will be in 15 minute increments, with lunch from 12:30 - 1:15 pm.

To maintain strict COVID-19 prevention protocols, walk-ins will not be permitted and we ask that performers arrive for their appointment no more than half an hour prior to their time slot and promptly exit the building. Masks should be worn in common areas and social distancing will be enforced.

CONTRACT

Rehearsals will take place in-person at The Growing Stage’s facility, The Historic Palace Theatre, Route 183 in Netcong, NJ. Performances will be filmed at the theatre and therefore, will be pre-recorded for audience’s at-home viewing.

The Growing Stage is seeking performing artists with professional experience to perform. All roles will be paid, at an hourly rehearsal rate and a performance fee.

DESCRIPTION

This is not your usual “Once Upon a Time.” Classic? No. Wild? Yes! To start with, it’s a two-person play. Do the math. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves? Two fabulous, whip-smart, super-fast actors play Snow White, the huntsman, the prince, and all seven dwarves! And it’s funny. Really, really funny. So expect the unexpected in this fabulous fairy tale with a (spoiler alert) you-won’t-see-it-coming twist.

SEEKING

Two non-equity actors. Breakdown as follows:

SNOW WHITE - (Female, BIPOC) Plays several different characters throughout the play, must be versatile and preferably with a teaching artist background.

DWARF FOUR - (Male, Any Race) Plays several different characters throughout the play, must be versatile and preferably with a teaching artist background.

PREPARATION

Performers are requested to prepare a one to two minute monologue in the style of their choosing.

The Growing Stage Theatre is located in northwestern New Jersey and no regular mass transportation is available. Performers are encouraged to have their own, reliable mode of transportation. The producer will run all aspects of the audition.
