SeaWorld is seeking friendly and dynamic personalities to serve as cultural host performers representing regions from around the world for SeaWorld’s Craft Beer & Food Festival. The ability to memorize cultural facts and detailed menu descriptions and enthusiastically engage with guests throughout the day in an outdoor environment is essential. Accent work and formal acting experience is helpful, but not necessary. Specifically looking for performers that originate from the following areas: Baja Mexico, Brazil, California, Caribbean, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hawaii, India, Japan, Philippines, Peru, Spain and Vietnam.

Audition Date: Saturday, February 28, 2015
Audition Time: 10:00AM
Audition Location: Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute. 2595 Ingraham Street, San Diego, CA 92109

Show Pay Rate- $25.00/hour
Rehearsal Pay Rate- $18.00/hour

Rehearsal Dates: April 13-17, April 20-24, April 27-30 & May 1 2015

Please prepare a one minute, family-friendly monologue that showcases your personality and be prepared to read from a provided script.

Basic Job Functions
?Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
?Cast and performs in SeaWorld shows as assigned.

Principle Duties
?Executes pre and post show duties as outlined in the daily schedule.
?Openly accepts performance feedback and adapts accordingly.
?Assists with trainings, choreography, blocking, and stage direction as needed.
?Consistently and expertly executes stage direction and show content as directed by leadership.
?Maintains cleanliness of all assigned work areas.
?Maintains a safe work environment and safety requirements.
?Maintains a positive and flexible attitude.
?Positively interacts with guests, employees and others.
?Models company trainings related to guest interactions and animal areas.
?Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Knowledge
?Must be at least 18 years of age.
?Must be able to positively interact with park guests and team members of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
?Must have strong verbal communication skills.
?Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
?Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
?Must be able to meet work group’s availability.
?Audition requirements may also include dance, movement, script reading and memorization, role playing, comedic improvisation, miming, singing and instrumental music as necessary.

Required Training and Education
?Previous experience in the field of dance, theater, athletics or other performance arts required.
?Headshot and resume required.
