Auditions for Stuart Little will be held virtually with an audition video submission deadline of 6:00 PM, Monday, Jan. 4, 2021. All auditions are open to the public; no one is pre-cast. Details about the video auditions are online at

Stuart Little contains feature roles for 1 Man and 1 Woman, ages 25-60; 1 Man and 1 Woman, ages 12-60; and 1 Any Gender, age 12-40. Performances are Feb. 26-Mar. 14, 2021, with shows Fridays-Sundays, Feb. 26-28 and Mar. 12-14. (Stuart Little will alternate weeks with a second show in the John Viars Theatre.) Where race, ethnicity, gender, age, or other personal differentiations are not demanded by the needs of the script, The Playhouse casts its plays without regard to these attributes. Stuart Little is directed by Katy Merriman.
Being a mouse in a house full of humans is an adventure waiting to happen. Stuart has plenty of little mishaps, like getting caught in a window-blind, participating in a boat race, and getting trapped in a garbage can. When his friend, the bird Margalo, disappears, this heroic mouse travels in search of her. It's a great big world out there, and Stuart is ready to conquer it.
The Playhouse, now in its 102nd season, is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the US.
