MAJOR AUDITIONS ANNOUNCED FOR
STEVE SILVER’S BEACH BLANKET BABYLON
~ Immediate Opening for a Male Performer ~
Producer Jo Schuman Silver is seeking a male performer or performer understudy with high energy, excellent vocal, movement and performance talent and skills for Beach Blanket Babylon, the world’s longest running musical revue. Applications must be submitted by Saturday, December 1, 2012 and auditions will be by invitation only on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Club Fugazi (678 Beach Blanket Babylon Boulevard) in San Francisco.
Those applying must have a strong singing voice and should be at least 5’6” tall. Interested performers must be in excellent physical condition and appear Caucasian. They must be at least 18 years of age and appear 35 or younger. Additionally, they must demonstrate enough dance and movement skill in order to be taught some tap dancing. Comic timing, acting skills and the ability to imitate popular culture icons and to spoof ethnic and cultural stereotypes and to play with accents are a plus. Currently, male pop culture icons in the show include Elvis Presley, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bill Clinton & Justin Bieber. Beach Blanket Babylonoffers competitive salary, health insurance, as well as paid vacations and sick leave.

Hailed as “a constant cascade of showstoppers” by the San Francisco Chronicle, Beach Blanket Babylon follows Snow White as she takes a fast-paced journey around the world in search of her “Prince Charming.” Along the way she encounters a star-studded, ever-changing line-up of hilarious pop-culture characters, including , including Lady Gaga, General David Patraeus, President Barack & Michelle Obama, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, The San Francisco Giants, Prince William, Kate Middleton and the Queen of England, Hilary & Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, The Cast of “Glee,” Nancy Pelosi, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Grammy Award Winner, Adele and Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes.
Beach Blanket Babylon performs Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 6:30 & 9:30 p.m.; Sundays at 2 & 5 p.m. at Club Fugazi in San Francisco.
