Synopsis: This play takes place in Charlie’s Bar in the Tribeca area of New York City, on the eve of September 11th, 2001. Charlie’s has a wide variety of clientele from the lower income area it shares. Artists, musicians, blue-collar workers, first responders and others who frequent the local businesses. The first act introduces us to the staff and regulars who live out their lives overlooking the Hudson River. In act two, we return to Charlie’s during the disturbing and chaotic period following the fall of the buildings. We experience the heartbreaking shock and despair experienced by so many on that fateful day.

Auditions will primarily consist of cold readings from the script.

Theatre in the Valley is an intimate forum for all actors to hone their skills and a great avenue to keep working your chops so you can get those other gigs you want! If you aren’t getting cast, you aren’t acting. When you sit idle, you can lose the edge you need..If you can’t wow them with your talents at auditions, you might not get cast. Break that cycle! The best thing for experienced and aspiring professional stage and film performers, is to keep their chops up, and keep working to develop their skills to their utmost. At Theatre In The Valley, you’re not 50 feet away from the audience; you’re right up close. Just like you would be to the camera in film and television. Why sit at home getting rusty, when you can get up and go? Come and join our people at play!
