SCERA announces Feb. 7 auditions for “SISTER ACT”
SCERA announces that auditions for “Sister Act,” the closing show of their Indoor Season, will be held Wednesday, February 7 from 6:30-10:00pm at SCERA Center for the Arts. David Smith will direct, DeLayne Dayton will music direct, Shawn Mortensen will choreograph and Danielle Berry will serve as stage manager.
The show will play April 13 – May 5 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays @ 7:30pm at SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem.
All roles are available, and there are great lead and ensemble parts for all ages, genders and ethnicities. Auditioners age 16 through older adults should prepare 16 bars of an upbeat contemporary musical theatre piece. An accompanist or IPOD playback will be available. Callbacks, for those invited, will be held on Saturday, February 10, and will include a dance audition. You can submit your audition form online and sign up for a specific audition time under the Stage tab at
www.scera.org. A resume and headshot is helpful to bring with you, but is not required.
Rehearsals will begin the week of February 12 and generally be held on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.
