ArtReach Educational Theatre and Spotlite Theatrix are holding auditions for ADULT ACTORS for their upcoming production of SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL. Friday, January 23rd from 6:30 – 8:30pm.
Seeking adult actors and advanced level college students/teenagers for principal roles. This production will be rehearsed and performed as part of our Spring Musical, where adult volunteer actors will serve as performance mentors to the teens enrolled in our Child/Teen Mentoring Project.
If you would like to be considered for a principal or singing role please prepare an uptempo musical theatre song or a song from the show, and bring an accompaniment CD. (A CD of songs from the show will be provided.) If you would like to be considered for a principal singing role in the show please sing one of the songs for the character you are most interested in. If you would like to be considered for an ensemble role only a movement combination will be taught. You may also be asked to do a cold reading.
Rehearsals will take place at Bethel Lutheran Church in Palatine on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6-9 (not everyone will be called the entire evening but, is asked to keep these time frames open) and some Saturdays, in conjunction with our workshop, beginning February 7th. The show will be performed 2 weekends - April 17th and 18th and April 24th and 25th at Cutting Hall Theatre in Palatine. For more info or to schedule an appointment please call 847-372-7798.
