SCERA'S BROADWAY NIGHT - SCERA Theatre for Young Audiences

SCERA’s 7th Annual Night of Broadway to hold auditions on January 5-6

SCERA is holding auditions for its 7th annual “A Night of Broadway” concert on Tuesday, January 5 or Wednesday, January 6, 2015 from 7-9pm. This year’s theme is Broadway Rocks, and will feature a range of showtunes with a rock ‘n roll spin, from powerful and upbeat anthems to passionate and spirit-stirring ballads. For a partial list of shows to consider, see the audition page at
www.scera.org.

“A Night of Broadway” is part of SCERA’s Indoor Season, and will play in Showhouse II at SCERA Center for the Arts for four nights – January 27-30 @ 7:00pm.

Auditioners age 16 and older should prepare 16 bars of a song appropriate to the Broadway Rocks theme, and should be the song they wish to be considered to perform in the show. Songs must be from a Broadway show, but can be a classic, contemporary or character piece. Duos, trios and small group numbers will also be considered. IPOD playback will be provided.

Auditions will be in Room 101 at the SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 South State, Orem. No appointment is necessary to audition. A resume and headshot is helpful, but not required. Those cast in the concert will have just a few rehearsals prior to the performance dates, and have the option to participate in choreographed group production numbers as well.

For more information, contact SCERA at (801) 225-ARTS.
