RUMORS - The Ridgefield Theater Barn

AUDITION NOTICE

Rumors

A Comic Farce by Neil Simon
Directed by Scott R. Brill

When a group of guests arrive at the upscale home of their friends, Myra and Charlie to celebrate their wedding anniversary they find something is terribly amiss. Myra is nowhere to be found and Charlie is lying in his bedroom with a flesh wound. His lawyer, Ken and wife Chris try to get the story straight about what happened but as more guests arrive, the confusions, mis-communications and rumors mount as the evening spins off into hilarious mayhem. “Light frothy and fun.” New York Post; “Has nothing on its mind but making the audience laugh.” New York Times; “Not only side-splitting, but front and back front-splitting too.” NBC-TV

Rumors is a fast-paced show which is great fun to perform. The show gives all characters hilarious moments to shine both individually and as part of a well-rehearsed ensemble.
