AUDITION NOTICE:
The Rose To Host Auditions On January 20 & 22
for Frederick and Ramona Quimby
The Rose Theater will host an audition for youth roles in its 2014
production, Ramona Quimby at 6 pm on Monday, January 20.Youth actors should be at
least nine years of age.
Auditions for adult roles in Frederick and Ramona Quimby will be held on
Wednesday, January 22 at 7 pm. Callbacks for all roles in Frederick and Ramona
Quimby will be held on Thursday, January 23. Ramona Quimby will utilize youth and
adult actors. Frederick will only utilize adult actors. Actors of all types are welcome to
audition and must come to The Rose Theater, 2001 Farnam Street, Omaha. Minority
actors are wanted for lead roles in both productions. Ramona Quimby auditions will
consist of cold readings from the script. Frederick auditionees should prepare a short
song selection and monologue.
Frederick actors must be available for weekday/weekend rehearsals and
performances between March 3-April 13.
Ramona Quimby actors must be available
for weeknight/weekend rehearsals between March 31-April 24 and weekday/weekend
performances between April 25-May11. Youth roles will be double cast in Ramona
Quimby to ease school conflicts, but performers should be willing to miss some daytime
school hours.
This is a paid position for adult actors. Minority actors are highly encouraged
to audition.
