NTC Announces Auditions for “Rabbit Hole”

Newnan Theatre Company announces auditions for the Pulitzer Prize winning drama “Rabbit Hole,” written by David Lindsay-Abaire and directed by Bert Lyons.

Auditions will be held at Newnan Theatre Company, located at 24 1st Avenue, Newnan, GA 30263. Audition dates are Tuesday, December 11, and Wednesday December 12 at 7 pm. Production dates are February 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, and 24, 2013.

In a comfortable suburban home, five ordinary people each find ways to live on and through the death of a young boy in a car accident: a mother and father, a sister, a grandmother and the teenage boy who drove the car. Told with humor, drama and engaging characters, it is a story of loss, heartbreak and forgiveness, told through daily moments of joy and pain as the family moves on.

This show contains mature content.

Newnan Theatre Company does not charge fees of any kind to be a part of our productions.

Characters:

BECCA (Female): late thirties/early forties

IZZY (Female): early thirties, Becca’s sister

HOWIE (Male): late thirties/early forties, Becca’s husband

NAT (Female): mid-sixties, Becca’s and Izzy’s mother

JASON (Male): a seventeen-year old boy

The young men auditioning for Jason should memorize the monologue designated.
