Provincetown Theater Sets Auditions

for 2022 Spring & Summer Shows

Open Call for Actors on March 20 & 21, Zoom Appointments Available Upon Request

The Provincetown Theater will hold open auditions this month for union and non-union actors for several productions in the upcoming 2022 season at the company’s playhouse at 238 Bradford Street in Provincetown, MA 02657. All roles are paying positions. Each production includes four weeks of rehearsal (approximately 25 hours a week) followed by a four-week run of four-performances per week.

OPEN CALL AUDITIONS:

Sunday, March 20 from 1-6PM

Monday, March 21 from 6-9PM

With a sign-up sheet at the open call, actors will be seen on a first come/first serve basis. Sides, however, are available at the Provincetown Theater now thru the audition dates.

SEEKING:

ONE FEMALE:

Production: May 31 thru July 21

Frances – 30s-40s, bawdy blue collar, any race, good comic timing, comfort with classical verse.

FIVE MALES:

Production: April 19 thru June 12

Nick - 40s, white collar, any race, good comic timing.

Rob - 40s, blue collar, any race, good comic timing.
Brad – 20s, artist, naïve, any race, possible nudity.

Production: May 31 thru July 21

Sam – 20s, put-upon sidekick, any race, good comic timing, comfort with classical verse.

Production: July 5 thru Sept 1

Bert – 20-30s, midwestern transplant to 1980s San Francisco, any race, big-hearted, nudity.

Note: Nudity will NOT be requested at open auditions.
