PLACER REP 2022 SEASON - Placer Repertory Theater

Placer Rep Season 2022 Open Auditions Now Being Scheduled

Prepare your best monologue and polish up your 16 bars of song, even if you don’t sing, for an opportunity to shine during your appointment at Placer Rep’s season 2022 open auditions being held in Roseville and Lincoln, CA Monday, April 11 through Saturday, April 16. Placer Rep is seeking non-AEA (non-Equity, EMC or former AEA) actors for the Open Auditions. AEA union member auditions held separately to be announced in the future. SAG/AFTRA members are welcome. Signed performers (who are non-AEA but have an agency or manager) are also welcome.

“We are primarily seeking adult professionals, early career to seasoned actors with prior professional performing experience, or actors 16 and up with pre-professional training and/or experience who wish to transition to professional theatrical employment,” said Producing Artistic Director Teresa Stirling Forsyth.

“We do also accept students ages 13 and up with prior professional experience as a performer in an artistic medium. We have mentorship and internship programs for students, recent graduates and those performers who are transitioning into professional theater,” said Kevin Foster, Outreach Director.

Placer Repertory Theater welcomes all ethnicities and gender identities. Events and productions are often selected or shaped based upon the talent we meet in the prior and current production year,” said Kevin Foster. As Placer Rep is a professional theater company, the organization pays all creative talent for rehearsals and performances.

This year we are grateful to hold our auditions at Tamraloo Studios in Lincoln and the Holistic Lighthouse on Vernon Street in Roseville. Tamraloo Studios is owned and operated by Tamra Rogers, who has been teaching piano and voice for over 30 years, and we’re grateful for her partnership, and Samantha Geiger offers space leasing at reasonable rates in Roseville, California. Placer Rep is grateful to both of these women-owned companies for supporting the Placer Rep as we build a legacy of professional theater for Placer County.

“I can only imagine that actors will want to fly at the chance to perform with Placer Repertory Theater... For the actor, PRT’s productions are sheer theatrical catnip,” said Anne Merino, Theater Faculty at William Jessup University, PRT Board and Company member.

For more information regarding the open audition requirements, performers may review the Season 2022 Audition Notice web page:
