Pikes Peak Opera League Announces:

7th Annual Young Voice Competition

What:

Competition for High School Voice Students. Master Class & Finals Concert are open to the public.


When / where:

  • Preliminary auditions (closed) are held on Saturday, Feb. 9th.
  • Master Class (open to the public) for Finalists is held on Sunday, March 10th at 3 PM are led by Kate Adam Johnson, soprano and voice teacher. Location: Packard Hall, Colorado College, SW Corner Cascade Avenue and Cache La Poudre Street.
  • The Finals Concert (open to the public) is held on Friday, March 15th at 7 PM. Location: Packard Hall, Colorado College, SW corner Cascade Avenue and Cache La Poudre Street.

Cost: March 10th and 15th events are FREE and open to the public. No tickets necessary. Donations appreciated.

This is the 7th annual Young Voice Competition sponsored by the Pikes Peak Opera League to support high school voice students as they develop their talent in singing and performance.

The League has expanded its reach to include talented young singers participating from many communities in southern Colorado. The Finals Judges, combining many years of performance and teaching/coaching experience, will be announced soon.

Cash prizes are awarded to the Three Competition Winners. High school voice students interested in applying can visit the League's web site to see the rules and download an application.
