DATES:
Rehearsals will take place between August 30th and September 12th at a TBD rehearsal studio in Manhattan. Rehearsal Fee: $600

Monday, August 30 – 6:00pm-9:30pm
Tuesday, August 31 – 6:00pm-9:30pm
Wednesday, September 1 – 6:00pm-9:30pm
Thursday, September 2 – 6:00pm-9:30pm
Tuesday, September 7 – 5:00pm-9:30pm
Wednesday, September 8 – 5:00pm-9:30pm
Thursday, September 9 – 5:00pm-9:30pm
Friday, September 10 – 5:00pm-9:30pm
Saturday, September 11 – 2:00pm-6:00pm
Sunday, September 12 – 10:00am-2:00pm

Performances will take place on up to five (5) Saturdays and/or Sundays between September 18, 19, 25, 26 and October 2 & 3. All daytime performances. Performance Fee: $200 per performance day. Exact dates TBA. Travel stipend of $100 to be used as needed for the duration of the run.

SEEKING
Seeking strong singers and actors for the New York City Children’s Theater 25th Anniversary Story-Land Cabaret featuring songs from New York City Children’s Theater productions: Young Charles Dickens, Dear Albert Einstein, Wanda's Monster, Interstellar Cinderella, Harvey and the Princess, The Butterfly, Wringer, Dory Fantasmagory, Honey and Leon, and Band of Angels. The Story-Land Cabaret will be performed in outdoor NYC venues–seeking local performers willing to travel to all five boroughs only.

The creative team actively encourages performers of all races, gender identities, disabilities, and body types to audition.
Proof of vaccination will be required at time of job offer.

BREAKDOWN

STORYTELLER #1 - Non-specific age, soprano with a strong mix. Featured songs from Interstellar Cinderella, Wringer, Honey and Leon, and others. Percussion (drums, djembe, cajon, auxiliary instruments) skills a plus – please indicate in your submission.
STORYTELLER #2 - Non-specific age, full-voiced alto. Featured songs from Wanda's Monster, Harvey and the Princess, Dory Fantasmagory, and others. Percussion (drums, djembe, cajon, auxiliary instruments) skills a plus – please indicate in your submission.
STORYTELLER #3 - Non-specific age, tenor. Featured songs from Harvey and the Princess, Honey and Leon, and others. Percussion (drums, djembe, cajon, auxiliary instruments) skills a plus – please indicate in your submission.
STORYTELLER #4 - Non-specific age, mid to high baritone. Featured songs from Dear Albert Einstein, Interstellar Cinderella, and others. Percussion (drums, djembe, cajon, auxiliary instruments) skills a plus – please indicate in your submission.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

NYCCT is accepting video submissions from August 2, 2021 - August 9, 2021. Please submit a video of you singing 2 contrasting musical theatre songs. Email your headshot/resume and list the role you are interested in. Percussion (drums, djembe, cajon, auxiliary instruments) skills a plus – please indicate in your submission.
