We strongly encourage performers of all ages, abilities and ethnicities to audition. Character Breakdown: Player 1 (Baritenor) - Roderick Usher, Rufus Griswold, Imp, Horse, etc. Player 2 (Baritone) - William Wilson, David Poe, Jock Allan, etc. Player 3 (Tenor) - Arthur Gordon Pym, William Henry Leonard Poe, etc. Player 4 (Soprano) - Marie Rogêt, Rosalie Poe, Fanny Allan, Sissy Clem Player 5 (Soprano) - Annabel Lee, Eliza Poe, Muddy Clem, etc. Player 6 (Alto) - Lenore, Elmira Royster, etc Edgar Allan Poe (Tenor) At this time, we are seeking 7 strong actors who sing and move well. We are looking for storytellers with vivid imagination and willingness to play. This is an ensemble piece; everyone is featured, and all but Poe play multiple roles. Comfortability with verse is helpful, but not required. We are also looking for actors to take part in our interactive pre-show. Please prepare 32 bars that demonstrate musicality and storytelling. Nevermore will be presented on October 20, 21 & 22 in the sanctuary of the Staten Island Unitarian Church. We will have a read/listen through on September 10th @ 6pm Rehearsals will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting September 11th. Must be available tech week (October 16 - 19).
