CHARACTER LIST
Frankie - Male, baking contestant, any age (though around Lola’s age) - very unassuming, affable character. Has an emotional support parrot, Diego. Is a competent baker.

Lola - Female, baking contestant, any age (though around Frankie’s age) - the cutthroat ambitious contestant. Lola is in it to win it and the most competent baker.

Grace - Female, baking contestant, any age (but older than Lola … this is a “grandmother” type figure). She’s a competent baker and kind to the other bakers.

Allan - Male, baking contestant, any age. A true “galoot.” He ultimately means well, but absolutely cannot bake. And it’s not just that he’s a bad baker, but also rather stupid.

Mack - Male, judge - should be a Paul Hollywood type. He’s a “baker” in the sense that his family was rich and he skated by on looks and money. Attractive and charismatic.

Flora - Female, judge (somewhat older … she’s ready to retire) Again, think a Prue Leith or Mary Berry type. She’s a true baking professional. She’s relying on her trusty bottle of wine to get her through to the end.

Dana/Danny - Any gender (written as Danny.) the garish TV presenter. Written with Caesar Flickerman from The Hunger Games in mind. He’s charismatic and personable.

Ashley - Any gender, producer/director (written as a woman). Has a very obvious crush on Allan and is promoting him to win. She’s no nonsense and looking to get high ratings.

REHEARSALS: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-9 p.m. and Sundays 3-6:30 p.m. at Main Street Theatre offices at Rehoboth

PERFORMANCES: Murder at the Bake Off will open Thursday, Feb. 15, and run Feb. 18 (SUN), 22 (THU), and 25 (SUN).
