SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre announces auditions for its July 2014 show, a Utah Valley premiere of an epic musical that can’t be legally announced until May 1
The SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre will be presenting the Utah Valley premiere of an epic musical drama July 3-19, 2014 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm, but can’t legally announce the title until May 1, 2014. But director/music director Jeremy Showgren is holding auditions April 29 – May 1 for those interested in being considered for some of musical theatre’s greatest singing and acting roles.
There are roles for children ages 8-12 and adult 16 and older. Auditions for children ages 8-12 will be held on Tuesday, April 29 from 7-9pm. Auditions for adults 16 and older will be Wednesday, April 30 or Thursday, May 1 from 7-9pm. They will be held at the SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 South State, Orem. Callbacks, for those invited, will be Saturday, May 3.
Auditioners should prepare to sing 16 bars of contemporary musical theatre. Please no songs from Annie. An accompanist is preferred and will be provided, but iPod hookup is available. No appointment is necessary to audition. A resume and headshot is helpful, but not required.
