SCERA auditions for “Little Shop of Horrors” July 31-August 1
(Orem, Utah) – SCERA is holding auditions for “Little Shop of Horrors,” its first musical of the 2012-2013 indoor season at the SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem.
“Little Shop of Horrors” will be directed by Jeremy Showgren. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, July 31 or Wednesday, August 1 from 7-9pm at the SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 South State, Orem. No appointment is necessary to audition.
Auditioners age 18 and older should prepare to sing 16 measures of a Broadway-style song. An accompanist will be provided, and is the director’s preferred method for auditioning, but IPOD playback will also be available. All roles are available, and the director is looking for all ethnicities, shapes and sizes. Those invited to callbacks on Saturday, August 4 will participate in a dance audition.
“Little Shop of Horrors” will be performed on the Showhouse II stage at the SCERA Center for the Arts, September 14-October 6, 2012 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays @ 7:30pm.
