IN THE HEIGHTS and THE SOUND OF MUSIC - Musicals at Richter

Musicals at Richter (MAR), now in its 38th season as the longest-running outdoor theater in Connecticut, will hold auditions for its 2022 productions April 18-20 and April 22 at Richter House Arts Center, 100 Aunt Hack Road, in Danbury, CT (adjacent to Richter Park Golf Course, just off I-84, exit 2).

The main stage musical season includes “In the Heights” (July1-16) directed by Matthew Farina and “The Sound of Music” (July 22- August 6) directed by Jessica Smith. Diverse, multiethnic casts are sought for each show.

Open auditions for high school (16 and up), college and adult performers will be held Monday, April 18 and Tuesday, April 19 from 6:30-9:30 PM for both shows, and on Wednesday, April 20 from 6:30-9:30 PM for “In the Heights” only. Younger performers (ages 6-18) will be seen Friday, April 22 from 6:30-9:30 PM for roles as von Trapp family children in “The Sound of Music.”
