Status: Seasonal
Rehearsal Pay Rate: $18/hr.
Show Pay Rate: $25/hr.

Casting for: Holiday Strolling Characters and Show Hosts for both Halloween Spooktacular and SeaWorld's Christmas.

Casting engaging, comedic, family-friendly performers for SeaWorld San Diego's Halloween Spooktacular and Christmas holiday event. Performers may be selected for one or both shows.

Halloween Spooktacular performers to portray the Pumpkin Princess, the King of Candy, members of the school of fish, and other fun characters.

Christmas characters to delight and interact with guests include Mrs. Claus, Santa's Elves, the Nutcracker, the Peppermint Princess, and other North Pole friends.

Rehearsals the week of September 22nd-26th with performances weekends September 27th through October 26th for Halloween Spooktacular.

Rehearsals November 4th-6th and 11th-14th with performances November 14th through January 3rd for SeaWorld's Christmas events.

Principle Duties
?Executes pre and post show duties as outlined in the daily schedule.
?Openly accepts performance feedback and adapts accordingly.
?Assists with trainings, choreography, blocking, and stage direction as needed.
?Consistently and expertly executes stage direction and show content as directed by leadership.
?Meets provided performance measurements and show quality standards.
?Maintains cleanliness of all assigned work areas.
?Models company trainings related to guest interactions and animal areas.
?Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Knowledge
?Must prepare a one minute family-friendly comedic monologue to be performed at audition.
?Must be prepared to perform a character improv and/or read from a provided script the day of the audition.
?Must be available for all rehearsal and performance dates for preferred holiday show(s).
?Must be at least 18 years of age.
?Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
?Must have strong verbal communication skills.
?Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
?Must be able to meet work group’s availability.
?Must be able to positively interact with park guests and team members of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
?Audition requirements may also include dance, movement, script reading and memorization, role playing, comedic improvisation, miming, singing and instrumental music as necessary.

Required Training and Education
Previous experience in the field of dance, theater, athletics or other performance arts required.

Availability
Must be available to rehearse and perform all of the following dates:
?Halloween: September 22-28, October 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, & 25-26
?Christmas: November 4-6, 11-16, 22-30, December 6-7, 12-14, 20-24, 26-31, & January 2-3
