The Rose To Host Auditions On January 15, 2017 For Its Production of Harold & The Purple Crayon
The Rose Theater will host an audition for adult roles in its 2017 production, Harold & The Purple Crayon on Sunday, January 29 at 6PM with callbacks on Tuesday, January 31st. Adult actors over the age of eighteen to attend this open call. Actors of all types are welcome to audition and must come to The Rose Theater, 2001 Farnam Street. Minority actors are wanted for lead roles. Auditionees should be prepared to share a short song selection. An accompanist will be provided.
Actors must be available for weekday rehearsals between February 27-March 24 as well as weekday and weekend performances March 24-April 9. This is a paid position for adult actors. Minority actors are highly encouraged to audition.

About The Show
Harold and his colorful crayon have been enchanting readers for half a century and now his precocious purple pictures are coming to life on the stage. In this gently inspirational musical version of Crockett Johnson’s beloved tribute to the powers of young creativity, Harold’s charming scribbles take him on adventures on the earth and into the heavens. Along the journey, he draws the true blue conclusion of so many other wanderers: maybe no place is better than being in your own room with your imagination.
The production will utilize puppetry, music, and projections to tell Harold’s magical story!
