Auditions for HAIR
December 15 & 16 AT WINNETKA COMMUNITY HOUSE
Big Noise Theatre Company will hold auditions for the rock musical Hair, book and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni and music by Gail MacDermot.
Audition Dates and Time : Monday, December 15, and Tuesday, December 16, 2014, 6:30-10pm. Appointments preferred, but not necessary. Walk ins will be seen
on those days. Thursday, December 18 6:30 – 7:30 by appointment or prearranged only.
Callbacks: December 18. 8-10pm

SYNOPSIS: Hair is a stage work in two acts. It tells the story of a “tribe” of passionate, politically
active “hippies” who confront the Vietnam War, free love, racism, societal values and their place
in the world of the turbulent ‘60s.
CAST OF CHARACTERS:
Berger, Woof, Hud, Claude, Jeanie, Dionne, Crissy, Sheila, Margaret Mead, Hubert
…and others in the tribe who play moms, dads, high school principals policemen, singing trios, etc
WHAT TO PREPARE: 32 bars of your best in the style of the show or a song from the show.
Have a second song if asked. Bring picture, resume and music. Accompanist provided.
Big Noise offers all cast members participation in the CAST (Comp Assisted Stipend) program.
Each cast member will be provided with ticket vouchers which may be sold at full value of $28
each. Proceeds from tickets may be kept by the performer providing a potential stipend.
