THE UN-COMMON THEATRE COMPANY ANNOUNCES DECEMBER AUDITIONS FOR ITS YOUNG PERFORMERS PRODUCTION OF FROZEN JR.
Auditions To Take Place Sunday, December 8 (by appointment only)
The Un-Common Theatre Company is excited to announce auditions for their Young Performers Production of Frozen JR. on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Auditions for students in grades 1-6 will be held at the Mansfield YMCA, 40 Balcom Street, Mansfield, MA and are by appointment only. The production, directed by Mansfield High School senior Matt Neary, choreographed by Walpole High School junior Cate Lightbody, and music directed by professional vocal instructor Christine Kasparian, will be performed at the Qualters Middle School in Mansfield, MA, March 6-8, 2020.

Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.
A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!
For those who are new to the audition process or would like to improve their auditioning skills, Un-Common is also offering an Introduction to Auditioning Workshop on Tuesday, December 3rd from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the South Foxboro Community Center, 366 South Street, Foxboro. The workshop will be presented by Meg Quin Dussault, Director of Un-Common’s current Fall Production of Matilda, and Christine Kasparian, Music Director of Frozen JR., with Frozen JR.’s Director Matt Neary and Choreographer Cate Lightbody presenting an overview of the upcoming Young Performers Production. A breakout session for parents will also be offered to introduce and review the process of the production from auditions to opening night.
