Seeking local Equity and Non-Equity Actors for 2013-2014 Season

We are looking for actors that are hard-working, humble, and are willing to learn, explore, risk and play! If this sounds like YOU, DCRT wants to work with you!

Auditions for Children (ages 5 and 13)

Auditions for Adults

For children – We will be seeing children in small groups. Please email
katiedcrt@gmail.com requesting one of the following audition times - 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30 – and the role auditioning for. We will respond with an audition time and cuts of the script to be prepared for the audition. Also, please prepare one short holiday song, to be sung a cappella.

For adults – Please email
katiedcrt@gmail.com to schedule one 10-minute appointment slot and let us know which shows you are interested in. We will respond with a time and possibly sides from the script. Please prepare a contemporary or classical monologue, not to exceed 90 seconds, and one holiday song (if auditioning for Christmas), to be sung a cappella.

All actors – Please bring two copies of your current headshot and resume.
Please come to your audition prepared and ready to work.
Come prepared to give us all potential schedule conflicts.

Seeking actors for the following productions and roles. For shows/roles that have already been cast with DCRT Company Members, actors auditioning will also be considered for possible future replacements if needed.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

Rehearsals begin November 11th
Performances Thursday – Sunday, December 12th – 22nd

Seeking one man, one woman, five girls, four boys:

One woman to play multiple roles (Mrs. Slocum, Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Clausing): age 30-60

One man to play multiple roles (Mrs. Armstrong, Mrs. McCarthy, Reverend Hopkins): age 30-60

Beth Bradley: age 10-13, the narrator, strong voice and presence, great listener

Charlie Bradley: age 8-11, kid brother, fighting to have a say in the world

Ralph Herdman: age 12-13, strong, silent type. Protective of his family and ready for a fight.

Imogene Herdman: age 11-12, loud, bossy, crafty.

Leroy Herdman: age 8-10, tough, sure of himself.

Gladys Herdman: age 5-8, the smallest of the bunch and the feistiest.

Alice Wendleken: age 10-12, prim and proper, always follows the rules.

Maxine: age 9-11, enthusiastic, LOVES the Christmas Pageant more than anyone else

Elmer Hopkins: age 10-13, a worry wart

Possible daytime performances for school groups
