Shepherd University’s Department of Contemporary Art & Theater announces auditions for

DOG SEES GOD

Shepherd University's Department of Contemporary Art & Theater announces auditions for its spring production of DOG SEES GOD by Bert V. Royal, directed by guest artist Gabrielle Tokach. Auditions will be held January 22 and 23 from 6:30-8:30pm in Room 112 of the Center for Contemporary Arts/Phase 1 on the campus of Shepherd University. Performances will be April 2-4 and 9-10 at Shepherd’s Marinoff Theater.

A dark comedy, DOG SEES GOD is the high school continuation of the Peanuts characters. After the death of his beloved dog, CB becomes obsessed with self-discovery and riddled with conflict. His world turns upside town when he reconnects with a childhood friend, Beethoven. This thought-provoking play explores the harsh realities of growing pains that lead to hope, friendship, and forgiveness.

Auditions are open to Shepherd University students, faculty, and staff, and all community members. DOG SEES GOD requires performers for four male-identifying and four female-identifying characters. All roles are open. No appointment necessary.
