COLOMBI NEW PLAYS FESTIVAL - Ensemble Theatre
Ensemble Theatre announces the 2014 Colombi New Plays Festival Auditions.
Thursday January 16th 6-9pm
Tuesday January 21st 6-9pm
Auditions may include a prepared monologue or selected readings from the scripts.
All roles will receive a stipend.

Equity and Non-Equity actors are encouraged to audition.

For the Love of A Leica and Zebdiah will run in repertory on the Main Stage. Beginning March 13th alternating Thursday Through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm through March 30th.

Roadkill

TRAVIS - Fortyish, lives hand-to-mouth, and hopes to again work in the coal mines. A nagging cough raises suspicions about his health.

CURLY - Fortyish, owner of a coffee shop that once flourished but is soon to be closed.

BLAINE: twenties, a bit slow due to an injury suffered in a coal mining accident, but he is well-meaning. He has a special love for animals, which accounts for his rather unusual hobby.

JACK PRINCE - a private investigator, is hunting down a card-counter for a syndicate of casinos.

MISSY - In her mid-late 20s, she is a West Virginia girl who stands up for what is rightly hers, which includes returns from the casino gaming tables.

SHERIFF - A powerful figure in the county, the SHERIFF is every bit as ambitious as he is unscrupulous.

Each Production is Approximately 90 minutes long.

The 2014 Colombi New Plays Festival is dedicated to the memory of Eben Gulick.
