CHAMBER MUSIC PROGRAM 2014-15 SEASON - The Dakota Academy of Performing Arts

Dakota Academy of Performing Arts Auditions on September 7

The Dakota Academy of Performing Arts (DAPA) will be holding auditions for its 2014-2015 Chamber Music Program on Sunday, September 7 from

2p.m.-4p.m. at the Washington Pavilion's Belbas Theater in Sioux Falls, SD.

All young players interested in chamber music (small ensembles and string chamber orchestra) are invited to audition for this dynamic program. We welcome string, woodwind and piano players from age 5-18 at every level of performance.

The ambitious DAPA music program allows students to expand their skills as young musicians. Students receive the benefit of small group instruction with focused mentoring and support from their instructors. Music programs within DAPA include: The DAPA Chamber Orchestra, string quartet and quintet chamber ensembles, small groups (trios and duos), woodwind ensembles, and special programs in music theory/appreciation. DAPA music students take part in formal recitals, multi-discipline artist collaborations, and numerous outreach performance opportunities throughout the Sioux Falls area community. Community service through music is encouraged and fostered.
