BOISE CONTEMPORARY THEATRE 2016-17 SEASON - Boise Contemporary Theatre

All Boise Actors Encouraged to Audition for Boise Contemporary Theater’s 16|17 Season

Boise Contemporary Theater announced the upcoming open auditions for the BCT 16|17 Season, to take place at the theater on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 3 – 7 pm. BCT Founding Artistic Director Matthew Cameron Clark and Artistic Associates Tracy Sunderland and Dwayne Blackaller will be overseeing all auditions.

BCT is breaking new ground by opening its 21st Season with its first ever musical, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH; redeveloping the most popular show in the theater’s history—a show appropriate for adults and children, A NIGHTTIME SURVIVAL GUIDE; bringing in a music-infused one-man hit show from Chicago featuring a rising Latino talent, WHERE DID WE SIT ON THE BUS; and staging one of the largest ensemble comedies ever to be produced at BCT, THE CLEAN HOUSE.

In addition to there being a few roles in the Mainstage Season yet to be cast, a number of the 5X5 Reading Series and Children’s Reading Series plays have yet to be selected. Actors who audition for BCT on September 11 will be considered for all open roles.

Mr. Clark emphasizes, “Are you an actor? Do you want to work at BCT? You should audition. We want to see you. All interested actors are encouraged to audition. Let us know you’re here.”

Auditions will take place in 5-minute appointments between 3 – 7 pm at BCT. Actors should come prepared with two monologues totaling no more than four minutes combined. Actors should also bring a headshot and resume. Boise Contemporary Theater is a professional company hiring Equity and Non-Equity Actors.

To schedule an audition appointment, contact BCT Founding Artistic Director, Matthew Cameron Clark, by email at

BCT is located at 854 Fulton Street in the heart of Boise’s Cultural District. Auditions take place at the theater. Actors who are scheduled to audition should come into the lobby prior to their appointment. There will be signage in the lobby that directs them to where they need to go from there.
