Southgate Community Players is holding auditions for their final 2018-19 Main Stage Season production, Barnum the musical. Auditions will be held on February 10th and 11th at SCP’s Corner Playhouse, 12671 Dix-Toledo Rd in Southgate.
Registration begins at 6:30pm and auditions begin at 7:00pm.
All ages are welcome, so bring the entire family! Although many of the main characters in the production are adult roles, teens and youth will be considered for some supporting featured roles and ensemble.
* If auditioning you will need to bring in your choice of musical theatre style song with backing track to sing along with (a CD player, and an auxiliary plug-in will be available). Please note there will not be an accompanist, and there is no a capella singing allowed.
* There will also be a dance portion to the audition, so please wear clothing you are
comfortable moving in and appropriate shoes.
* If you have a special skill you think could be used in the show please feel free to tell us and bring anything you might need to do a demonstration (juggling, gymnastics, uni-cycling, etc.)
* Some will also be asked to do cold-readings.
* If needed the casting committee will have callbacks at the end of the second day of auditions (2/11) at 8:30pm.
