SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre auditions for "All Shook Up" May 10-11
(Orem, Utah) -- SCERA its holding auditions for "All Shook Up," directed by Jennifer Reed with choreography by Sunny Watts, playing at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre July 6-21 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm. Auditions will be held on Thursday May 10 and Friday May 11 from 7-9pm at the SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 South State, Orem. A dance call for dance roles only (no vocal audition needed) will be held on Saturday, May 12 from 10am-Noon. Come prepared to move, and you will taught a piece of choreography.
All roles are available, and auditioners age 17 and older should prepare to sing 16 measures of an upbeat Broadway song. CD or IDOD playback will be available. No appointment is necessary to audition. For more information, call SCERA at (801) 225-ARTS.
The story is all new. The music is all Elvis. In a small Midwest town in the 1950’s, Natalie dreams of riding off on her motorbike to find the man of her dreams. Featuring the songs of Elvis Presley, this jukebox musical comedy has a leather-jacketed, guitar-playing roustabout who changes everything and everyone he meets in a hip-swiveling, lip-curling fantasy that'll have you jumpin' out of your blue suede shoes with a string of Elvis classics including Jailhouse Rock, Don't Be Cruel and Love Me Tender. Will true love prevail? Will the power of rock ‘n roll win the day? Will this town survive getting “all shook up”?
