AUDITIONS SET FOR KUMU KAHUA’S PRODUCTION OF ALANI APIO’S K?MAU A‘E
Director William Kahele is seeking at least 11 actors--5 men and 6 women. The past and future of the Hawaiian sovereignty movement collide when activist Michael Kawaipono is released from prison and must decide how to k?mau a‘e: to carry on. Auditions will be held at Kumu Kahua Theatre, 46 Merchant Street, on Saturday, March 17, 6pm-9pm, and Sunday, March 18, 6pm-9pm. The entrance into the theatre faces the park on Merchant Street. Performances will be from May 31 through July 1, with the possibility of a week’s extension. Auditioners are strongly encouraged to read the script before coming to audition. Copies of the play are available for loan with a $10 cash deposit at Kumu Kahua Theatre. Call 536-4222 to get a script and for more information.
