Now Accepting Submissions for all Young Performer roles in

Milwaukee’s Favorite Holiday Tradition

A CHRISTMAS CAROL


Milwaukee Rep is now accepting electronic submissions for all young performer roles in Milwaukee’s favorite holiday tradition, A Christmas Carol. There are 15-18 roles available for young performers ages 7-17 of all ethnicities. All are encouraged to submit an electronic application
on this Google Form. Specific audition information will consist of two uploaded videos demonstrating the young performer’s acting and singing ability. Submissions are due by Wednesday, September 1. Those chosen from submitted materials will be notified of a callback the week of September 8.

A Christmas Carol rehearses Tuesdays through Sundays from November 2 to November 28 and performs November 30 – December 24, 2021 at the historic Pabst Theater. Please note that young performers will need to miss school for technical rehearsals and matinee performances.

The safety and well-being of our guest artists, creative team, staff, and patrons is a top priority. As always Milwaukee Rep’s Health and Safety Committee is carefully monitoring COVID-19 and updating the safety practices and protocols per the guidance of the CDC and other regulatory entities. All policies, including vaccination and testing, are subject to change based on evolving guidance from the CDC, City of Milwaukee and the State of Wisconsin.

Milwaukee Rep’s full ensemble production of A Christmas Carol joyfully returns to the historic Pabst Theater with Lee E. Ernst as Scrooge, November 30 – December 24, 2021. Adapted by Artistic Director Mark Clements, A Christmas Carol is one of the best-known and loved stories in the English language. During the course of one memorable Christmas Eve the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future help Scrooge discover it is never too late to change his miserly ways. Enchanting music, dance, costumes, scenery and special effects will once again fill the theater to tell this timeless tale of love, hope and redemption.

A Christmas Carol is directed by Mark Clements and features music direction by Dan Kazemi, set design by Todd Edward Ivins, costume design by Alexander B. Tecoma, lighting design by Jeff Nellis, sound design by Barry G. Funderburg, original score and music arranged by John Tanner.

A Christmas Carol is presented by Jay Franke and David Herro and Wells Fargo wih Executive Producers Molly and Tom Duffey. Studio Gear is the Equipment Sponsor.
