McCARTER THEATRE CENTER ANNOUNCES
COMMUNITY ENSEMBLE AUDITION DATES FOR
CHARLES DICKENS’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Princeton’s Tony-Award winning theater continues its search for up to 50 local actors
to appear in its reimagined version of Dickens’ classic tale this December.
Auditions for ages 14 and up to be held at locations in
Lawrenceville, Somerset, Hamilton, Trenton, and Princeton.
With ten Casting Information Sessions completed in locations across the region,
McCarter Theatre Center is moving on to the next step in its search for up to 50 local actors to be
a part of the inaugural Community Ensemble for McCarter’s annual production of Charles Dickens’
A Christmas Carol.
McCarter Theatre Center will be renewing its annual tradition in December of 2016 with a
reimagined version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. This new theatrical endeavor will
include up to 50 local performers who will help bring the story to life both on stage and in the
theater. This ensemble aims to engage and involve the diverse and talented community that
surrounds McCarter, creating opportunities for performers of all ages, genders, races, and levels
of ability. This diverse and enthusiastic group fills the streets of London, dances with the Fezziwigs,
carols at Scrooge’s doorstep, and brings Christmas cheer to every corner of McCarter.
McCarter is searching for a wide cross-section of the diverse and talented community that surrounds
us, creating opportunities for performers of all ages, genders, races, and levels of ability and
experience to become a part of this Community Ensemble.
