Everything we love about Shakespeareromance, music, poetry, laughter, swordplay, great characters, and even a girl in pants!is in Twelfth Night, one of the Bards true comic masterpieces. Shipwrecked and alone in foreign Illyria, young Viola masquerades as a young man and becomes the go-between for the lovesick Duke Orsino and the beautiful Countess Olivia. Soon Viola finds herself in the middle of a topsy-turvy love triangle with lunacy on every side. Throw in the raucous carousing of Sir Toby Belch as he encourages his friend Sir Andrew Aguecheek to woo Olivia, and a plot to bring the imperious Malvolio down a few notches, and audiences find themselves swept up in this hilariously satisfying comedy -- in which everyone gets what they deserve.
